Water Treatment Selection: Common Questions
How do I choose a water treatment system?
Start with the feed-water source and a recent water analysis. The required flow rate, treated-water quality, project location, operating hours and available power determine the treatment process. GUANYA supplies containerized and modular systems for mining, seawater desalination, industrial wastewater and water reuse.
What is the difference between RO and MBR treatment?
Reverse osmosis (RO) uses membranes to reduce dissolved salts in seawater or brackish water, with pretreatment selected for the feed water. A membrane bioreactor (MBR) combines biological wastewater treatment with membrane separation. These processes address different water-quality problems and are selected according to the intended application.
What information is needed for a project enquiry?
Provide your project location, feed-water source, water analysis, target flow rate and treated-water requirements. Include available utilities, operating conditions, installation space and delivery requirements where known. System capacity and performance depend on the feed water, site conditions and agreed project scope.
