Guanya’s low-temperature evaporator separates excess water from electroplating solutions through a controlled atmospheric evaporation and condensation process. The system concentrates valuable metal salts and useful plating components while helping protect heat-sensitive additives.
1. Plating Solution Collection
Excess, diluted or spent plating solution is collected from the electroplating line and transferred into the evaporator’s circulation system.
2. Low-Temperature Atmospheric Evaporation
The plating solution circulates continuously while the operating temperature is maintained at approximately 50°C or below. Water is separated without high-temperature boiling or vacuum operation, helping reduce the loss of brighteners, activators and other sensitive additives.
3. Heat Recovery and Continuous Circulation
The integrated heat-pump system recovers thermal energy from the condensation process and returns it to the evaporation cycle. This reduces electricity consumption and supports stable, continuous operation.
4. Condensation and Water Recovery
Separated water vapor is cooled and condensed into recovered water. Depending on conductivity, COD, metal concentration and other quality indicators, the condensate may be reused for rinsing or sent for further treatment.
5. Metal Salt Concentration
As water is removed, gold, silver and other valuable metal salts remain in the plating solution at a higher concentration. The concentrated solution can be analyzed for return to the plating bath or transferred for subsequent precious-metal refining.
6. Automatic Control and Protection
The PLC-controlled system monitors temperature, liquid level and operating conditions. Automatic alarms, shutdown protection and optional remote monitoring support safe operation with reduced manual supervision.
Process Flow
Plating Solution Collection → Low-Temperature Evaporation → Water Separation → Condensation Recovery → Metal Salt Concentration → Reuse or Subsequent Refining
Processing Results
Concentrated precious-metal and metal-salt solution
Recovered condensate for testing and potential reuse
Reduced wastewater and hazardous-waste volume
Lower loss of valuable plating chemicals
The system concentrates metal salts by removing excess water; it does not directly produce refined elemental gold, silver or other metals.
